Mid Face rejuvenation

The cheek or midface is one of the most important areas in facial aesthetics because perceptions of facial attractiveness are largely founded on the synergy of the eyes, nose, lips and cheek bones.

Loss of facial volume is often the first sign we are ageing!

Volume loss in the midface contributes to:
• hollowing of the cheek area.
• inferior border of orbit tissues thin sometimes also resulting in dark discolouration and eyelid bags.
• exposure of the formerly concealed infraorbital fat pads and accentuation of a groove below the orbital margin in an area known as the tear-trough.
• a similar groove extending slanting downward and laterally from the lower orbital margin (palpebronasal groove).

The first step in correction of the cheek.
Restoration of volume in the malar region effectively ‘lifts’ the soft tissue, restoring its original high, youthful placement. It can therefore lessen the depth of the nasolabial fold and reduce the sagging in the lower face. It can also sometimes negate the need to treat the tear-trough area, which is a more complicated procedure.

How is it done?

Enhancement is a three dimensional contouring of the face as opposed to just filling lines and wrinkles. Its about creating facial harmony, for natural, non-surgical face lifts, or anti-ageing results

Combination Therapy
Achieving a harmonious, balanced and youthful aesthetic is key to midfacial rejuvenation. Optimal outcomes can best be achieved by combining Hyaluronic Acid fillers (HA fillers) with BoNTA treatment. Combination Therapies of the neuromodulators and HA fillers can enhance the benefits from as much as 50%, leading to further optimised results and your greater patient satisfaction.

The advantage of HA fillers
Finally, a key advantage that HA fillers have over permanent dermal fillers is that treatment can be modified to address evolving concerns. Reversing the evolution of aging by addressing  the specific changes occurring at all levels of the facial anatomy can be regularly reassessed and corrected to maintain the harmonious, balanced and youthful facial aesthetic that is the fundamental goal of facial rejuvenation.
